Our Story

Alsum Organics LLC was founded in November 2019 in Plainfield, Indiana, with a simple mission: to bring holistic health and wellness solutions rooted in ancestral wisdom and backed by real science to the African American community.

When COVID-19 devastated communities across the country in January 2020, the urgency of that mission became personal. We were not just building a business — we were trying to stay alive.

Who We Are

Carmen Alsum, B.S. Life Sciences, spent over 19 and a half years working many facets of the pharmaceutical industry. She began her career at Eli Lilly and rose through multiple plant sites, corporate acquisitions, and leadership roles to become a Clinical Trials Global Study Design Lead. Her last project was a cancer immunotherapy drug now approved to treat 16 types of cancer.

She knows how drugs are designed, tested, and approved. She has seen the inner workings of the pharmaceutical machine. And that knowledge — combined with ancestral healing traditions and 6+ years of documented, sustained proof — is what sets Alsum Organics apart.

What We Believe

We believe that health is a birthright, not a subscription. We believe that the wisdom of our ancestors — the roots, seeds, and practices carried across oceans — did not disappear. And we believe that when you combine that ancient knowledge with modern understanding, extraordinary things happen.
